TheNerdEmporium.com pulls out of Erie Anime Experience III due to unprofessional behavior

TheNerdEmporium.com and its staff offered to make an appearance at Erie Anime Experience III, but due to poor treatment and unprofessional behavior on the part of the Erie Anime Experience III staff and the con chair, TheNerdEmporium.com staff unanimously agreed to pull out of Erie Anime Experience III.

Evil Dead Week starts later today!

Sorry that I haven't been posting up any movie reviews lately I spent the last week finishing AE's revamp. Now that AE is up and running again I'm pulling double duty on both sites. Starting later today I'll begin reviewing the movies in the Evil Dead Trilogy. It's always been one of my favorite film franchises, so expect a review of "The Evil Dead" later today.

Tommyspud's TNA Fantasy Booking

Tommyspud actually approached me with an interesting new wrestling segment he wanted to start this week on TheNerdEmporium. He basically has created his own TNA Fantasy Booking in which he fully details what he would do with the TNA Roster. As well all known lately the booking in TNA has been terrible. AnimeExplosion.net returns to coincide with TheNerdEmporium

I've been keeping this news under wraps for awhile now but due to the overwhelming fan outcry AnimeExplosion.net has returned as its own separate entity to coincide alongside TheNerdEmporium. The site has officially open for Beta testing tell us what you think of the new fully revamped AE at www.animeexplosion.net. If fan reaction to the new AE is well received we'll be giving TheNerdEmporium the same makeover.

Undertaker & Bryan Danielson return at SummerSlam

Okay so unless you've been living under a rock or away from the internet last night, then you probably already know this. For those who don't know already last night Summerslam for the most part was crap. But did see the return of a rather sickly looking Undertaker he will apparently be feuding with Kane at Night of Champions. In more shocking news Bryan Danielson aka Daniel Bryan returned to WWE as the 7th man on Team Cena. Unfortunately the surprise was blown by WWE.com as they posted his return prematurely and word got out on Twitter before the main event.

Movie Review: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World

Today is Friday the 13th but it also signifies the nationwide release of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World! So naturally staff here at TheNerdEmporium got an advance screening of the film last night/early this morning before theaters opened to the public. So without further adieu I present to you my review of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World! Arguably the best film of this summer in my opinion.

Super Hero Month comes to a close this week

Well folks we're on the last week of July which means Super Hero Month is coming to an end soon. In case you haven't been keeping track last week we reviewed Superman movies I-IV. This week we're reviewing all six Batman films. Tommyspud just posted up another retro review of Superman (NES) for your viewing pleasure as well. So check out those reviews if you haven't done so yet!

R.I.P. Peter Fernandez (Voice of Speed Racer Passes Away)

I'm sad to report that voice actor Peter Fernandez passed away yesterday at the age of 83 from Lung Cancer. Peter Fernandez is best known for his role as Speed Racer in the English adaptation of Mach Go Go Go. Peter also voiced several characters on Speed Racer including Speed's brother Racer X. Peter Fernandez also had roles in the following anime titles: Astro Boy, Gigantor, Superbook, Starblazers: The Bolar War, and Lupin III: The Secret of Mamo.

Adult Swim News: FMA Brotherhood going on hiatus, New Bleach returns

On August 14th Full Metal Alchemist will go on hiatus from Adult Swim after episode 26, presumably so that Funimation can finish dubbing more episodes of the series. In its place new episodes of Bleach will start on August 28th covering the filler arc (New 3rd Captain Arc) that plagued the series in Japan. On August 14th Adult Swim will show the first two Bleach movies in place of the regular line-up.
